Slime Party Host / Event Assistant

Type: Flexible / As-Needed (Weekend events)

Compensation: $15/hour (includes paid travel time to/from events) + Paid Training

About the Role

Are you outgoing, polished, and love working with kids? We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic Event Hosts to lead fun, interactive DIY slime parties and pop-up events! This is a flexible, as-needed contract position—perfect for high school, college students, or young professionals looking for a rewarding weekend gig.

You’ll use your own reliable vehicle to pick up event supplies from us in Lyndon Township (Chelsea, Michigan), transport them to party venues or client locations, set up the station, guide kids through making and/or customizing their own slimes, and ensure everyone leaves with a smile!

This is very part-time, about 5-10 hours per month, but could lead to more as our business grows

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport & Setup: Pick up event kits and folding table/cart, load/unload safely, and set up an attractive, organized party station at the venue.

  • Party Facilitation: Manage or assist with a "Design Your Own Slime" bar and/or “Make Your Own Slime” class. Guide them through making slime from scratch and/or selecting colors, scents, and other mix-ins and toppings. Explain slime care and maintenance. Keep energy high, fun flowing, and the area tidy.

  • Customer Service: Serve as the face of our brand—maintain a polite, friendly, and professional demeanor with kids, parents and venue hosts.

  • Cleanup: Package up finished slimes for guests, clean station surfaces, pack down equipment, and return supplies to us.

Requirements

  • Kid-Friendly & High Energy: Confident speaking in front of groups, patient, engaging, and great with children ages 4–13.

  • Slime Knowledge: Familiarity with slime to assist and confidently answer kids' questions. (We’d love to find some current or former slime lovers/enthusiasts!).

  • Reliable Transportation: Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

  • Professional & Polished: Punctual, neat in appearance (wears uniform T-shirt), with excellent communication skills. Respects client homes and event venues, leaving them as clean as you found them.

  • Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 30 lbs (supplies, tables) and stay active on your feet during events.

Qualifications & Availability

  • Prior experience in childcare, camp counseling, teaching, acting/theater, or customer service is a big plus!

  • Available for weekend shifts a couple of times a month (Friday evenings, Saturdays, or Sundays). You do not need to be available every weekend—shifts are offered on an as-needed basis, and you can commit or decline based on your schedule.

  • Must pass a driving record and criminal background check (parental consent required if under 18).

Preferred

  • Practical experience making good slime from scratch (glue and activator methods)

  • Photo, video, and social media content creation skills
